Do San moves 13 - 16 are; Wedging block, kick double punch. Always
taught as a break on a hold. Fine. But.
Grab your opponent by the collar in a cross hand grab and pull
the hands apart as if you were performing the 'block'. Note how
he starts to choke. As you do the 'block' pull in and cock your
knee for the front kick. Bang, knee to the chest driving out the
breath (what's left anyway). Snap out the kick. It can only go one
way and that's low level, straight into their knee points. Punch
once and you'll actually turn them so that they're facing away from
you. Finish how you will. I actually tend to ignore the double punch
as hopefully the previous techniques will have worked!
I love performing this technique in the pattern and imagining the
above application.
