What is Practical Martial Arts™?

Practical Martial Arts™ is both a site and an Association dedicated to martial arts and martial techniques that can be practically applied on the street and on the mat. There are no fees involved in joining and Practical Martial Arts™ isn't the usual regulatory body either, Membership is open to all and we encourage membership of other organisations. It's a font of knowledge and a way of networking to the mutual benefit of all.

It is hoped that Member instructors will, if asked, teach lessons in other Member clubs for free, give seminars etc for free (for Member Clubs) and promote the Practical Martial Arts™ ethos. If ever a club is in trouble Member instructors will be on hand to help out, share knowledge and support the other Members.

Students of Member clubs are welcome to travel around and train within other Member clubs for up to a month. It should be borne in mind however that just appearing out of the blue is not acceptable and arrangements should be made prior to training!

Membership has now been closed to Affiliates. Only those wishing to open Official Schools under the styles of Practical Karate™, Practical Tae Kwon Do™, Practical JuJitsu™ and Practical Jeet Kune Do™, and follow the Official Syllabus should join us.

Affiliates already members will continue to benefit from the Association.
