5 Week’s Training Pays Off!

After only 5 weeks of training, one of Exeter Practical Martial Art’s ™ students has put his training into practise successfully.

A kind-hearted Samaritan through-and-through, this student found a drug user collapsed on one of the main streets in Exeter. Worried for the man’s health he called for an ambulance. Following his call, a Paramedic car turned up and the Paramedic examine the drug user.

Quickly running through the options of treatment, the Paramedic decided to give the man ’something to wake you up’. Unfortunately it worked too well and the man immediately launched an unprovoked attack on the student.

Thanks to the simple techniques that are drilled into our students with practical self-defense a high priority, the student was not only able to use a Rising Elbow Cover to stop the man hitting him, but put the same cover into the man’s neck pressure points and put him back down on the pavement where he started.

Exeter Practical Martial Arts™ are both very proud that our student was able to defend himself so ably, and very glad that he wasn’t injured in the slightest. We’d also like to thank him for the gift of the chocolates.
