EPMA - Taster Session

Yesterday Exeter Practical Martial Arts welcomed a number of children from Ladysmith School to a very successful taster session covering ‘Stranger Danger’.

Students were introduced to the meaning of ‘Stranger’, how to draw attention to themselves when approached by a stranger, defence stance, the ‘fence’, lead and rear hand palm heel.

Games concentrated on situational and spatial awareness, target identification, the OODA Loop and aural skills, all hidden in the fun that they were having.

At the end of the class, the parents broke into spontaneous clapping.

Feedback was very positive, and Matthew explained the purposes behind the games so that the parents could understand them better.
